Manipura Chakra – Solar Plexus Chakra

The Manipura Chakra, or Solar Plexus Chakra, is the third of the seven main chakras, located at the navel center. Its name comes from the Sanskrit words mani (jewel) and pura (city), reflecting its role as the radiant core of personal power and self-expression. Associated with the fire element and the color yellow, it governs willpower, confidence, and our sense of identity and purpose. A balanced Manipura brings inner strength, clarity of intention, and the courage to act; when blocked, feelings of self-doubt, powerlessness, or a need to control tend to emerge.

Developed from 2 – 4 years old, and it can be represented by the yellow color and the fire element. Sits two finger-widths above your belly button

How to work with this Chakra?

Every Chakra has its particularity, and one of the ways to work with the material that we are offering here is with a centering meditation followed by journaling prompts. Here are a few examples to journal about:

When do I feel most confident?
Do I believe I can achieve my goals and dreams? If not, what’s holding me back?
Write out a list of positive inner qualities you love about yourself, and describe why you love each of those things.
What brings me joy in my daily life?
How can I cultivate even more joy in my life?
In what ways am I a driven and motivated person?
Finish this sentence: “I am worthy because . . .” write at least ten reasons why you are infinitely worthy.
Write a letter to your younger self. Fill it with compliments and love. Boost your younger self’s self-esteem, give them confidence, and remind them to always act with self-respect.
